Testing Services
Professional Pathology Services, PC is a multi-specialty pathology
group featuring 19 board-certified pathologists operating four
cooperating laboratories in central South Carolina.
PPS, PC operates on-site surgical pathology labs for two hospitals in Columbia,
SC. In addition, we also feature a Dermatopathology Division, which operates
independently in a freestanding laboratory on the campus of the largest tertiary
care hospital in South Carolina. Our freestanding Cytology Division lab has
demonstrated excellence for nearly ten years while achieving full accreditation
from both CLIA and CAP. Maintaining these separate, yet cooperative labs
allows us to fulfill specific needs for the different specialty practices.
Excellent correlation secondary to interfaced Labratory Information Systems,
in addtion to onsite board certified subspeciality expertise ensures that the
highest quality of practice is obtained.
