PPS, PC operates on-site surgical pathology labs for two hospitals in Columbia, SC. In addition, we also feature a Dermatopathology Division, which operates independently in a freestanding laboratory on the campus of the largest tertiary care hospital in South Carolina. Our freestanding Cytology Division lab has demonstrated excellence for nearly ten years while achieving full accreditation from both CLIA and CAP. Maintaining these separate, yet cooperative labs allows us to fulfill specific needs for the different specialties, while providing excellent correlation abilities due to interfaced Laboratory Information Systems and the added advantage of being able to call on other board-certified subspecialties within the entire practice for consultation when necessary.
